ADOPTION

All animals currently available for adoption are listed below.  If you would like any further information about individual animals or would like to make an expression of interest please contact us.

All incoming animals are held in our care for a minimum observation period of four weeks prior to being released for adoption.

The adoption process is simple and straightforward.  It begins with the potential adopter filling in the Adoption Enquiry Form at the bottom of this page, this helps us to determine if you and your chosen animal are compatible in the first instance.  From there a face-to-face meeting is arranged along with a home visit.  Finally, if the application is successful, a rehoming agreement will be signed by the adopter and they can take possession of their new pet!

Grace's Rest do not ask a set fee for their rehome animals.  Instead we politely request a voluntary donation towards our running costs, the amount to be decided by the prospective owner.  New homes are selected on merit and NOT on the donation amount offered.

Prospective new owners must be over 18 years of age (a valid form of identification will be requested) and no animal will be rehomed on the behalf of a person who is under that age.  The signatory will take full responsibility for the care of the animal/s.

The new owner will be expected to sign, and adhere to, a rehoming agreement.  This includes a strict "NO BREEDING" policy, further information can be provided on request.  Animals will also not be adopted into mobile zoo or "animal encounter" settings, to the owners/employees of exotics pet shops or into situations where they are to be housed in a "RUB".

If you are interested in adopting any of the animals listed please contact us as soon as possible by filling in and submitting the form at the bottom of this page as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

At the point of adoption all of our animals are fit and well, eating, shedding their skins as appropriate and have normally functioning digestive systems unless

otherwise stated within their individual descriptions.
